nablet GmbH is known for highest-quality video transcoding and image processing SDKs and engines for many years. With mediaEngine, such codecs and wrappers are now available as a processing framework for Windows and Linux with a proper API. For the new product suite, x-dream-media required exactly such a framework – lightweight, but complete for file and stream processing.

x-dream-media uses nablet mediaEngine as the default and core processing engine within its new product line, x-dream Media Suite. At IBC 2025, x-dream-media presents a first version of xTranscode – a new file transcoder, xIngest – a new file ingester and will also provide an outlook to recording by Server, a new product of its Broadcast Suite.

With these new products, x-dream-media targets customers they have not been able to serve before due to feature requirements or business reasons. The company aims to broaden its industry and territory reach and expand into new use cases.

Stefan Pfütze, Managing Director at x-dream-media GmbH, said:

“For joint developments, x-dream-media and nablet started a partnership about two years ago. Customers now have an additional choice of coding engine within our Media Suite. This means formats and operations that have not been covered so far are addressed now. But there is more to come as nablet mediaEngine provides way more than encoding, transcoding and decoding functionality. Think of smart rendering or fingerprinting and watermarking. Let us surprise you!”

Muzaffer Beygirci, CEO and Founder of nablet GmbH, commented:

“We were looking for a partner to integrate our mediaEngine into a ready-to-use environment for customers – and x-dream-media provides exactly this platform. Integrating our mediaEngine into x-dream-media’s portfolio enables customers to use transcoding, HDR conversion, MXF normalization and repair, forensic watermarking, video fingerprint monitoring and more, from a single source with a user-friendly interface. Our customers can now rely on a product that combines all required backend services with easy setup and workflow management. No need to handle console apps or complex API integrations.”

Meet x-dream-media and nablet and try the new Media Suite at IBC 2025 in Amsterdam, RAI from September 12–15, 2025 on the booth 7.C25.

    About nablet GmbH

nablet GmbH was founded in 2011 in Aachen, Germany. Our core team was originally part of the founding team of another video technology company and developed codecs that are used widely around the world. After that company went through several acquisitions, we split off to form nablet. We launched two main strategies:

Create even better codecs and related technologies by reacting to new challenges like new CPU architectures and the increasing popularity of cloud solutions.

Respond to industry needs and create a variety of technology modules that would work together as part of an ecosystem.

In parallel, we developed mediaEngine, a multi-format transcoding engine that serves a broad customer base and works with the nablet ecosystem.
