Our vision of a Nigeria where no community is left behind is our driving force,’’ Says MTNF Director

What does N32.3 billion actually look like? To some, it is a massive figure on a balance sheet, but the reality is better reflected in the 12,426 safe deliveries in rural clinics and the 71 female entrepreneurs who now have the equipment needed to scale their operations. With the release of the 2025 Impact Snapshot, these figures highlight a story of resilience and a deep-seated belief in Nigeria’s potential.

In 2025, the Foundation moved beyond advocacy to direct delivery, donating NGN139 million in medications to 49 Primary Healthcare Centers. This contribution supported over 448,000 clinic attendances, ensuring that mothers, children, and the elderly receive quality care within their own communities.

Reflecting on these milestones, the Executive Director of the MTN Foundation, Odunayo Sanya, noted: “In 2026, our boots are strapped, and we make a pledge to do hard and difficult things in order to move our communities forward. Our vision of a Nigeria where no community is left behind is our driving force, and our belief that everyone deserves the benefits of a modern connected life fuels our faith”

In addition to this progress, the Y’ellopreneur initiative disbursed N208 million in equipment loans to female-owned businesses this year. Rather than a one-time grant, this represents a strategic investment in the entrepreneurs who form the backbone of the Nigerian economy.

The Foundation is also addressing the digital divide to ensure no one is left behind. This is evident in 62,284 young Nigerians equipped with digital skills and the 1,026 scholarships provided to blind undergraduates to date. Even the agricultural sector saw progress, with 500 farmers receiving real-time weather and market data via dedicated internet support.

As the mission moves toward 2026, the guiding principle remains to empower more communities.
