L–R: Marketing Director, FrieslandCampina WAMCO Plc, Maureen Ifada; winners of the Three Crowns 2026 Mum of the Year competition, Olaide Adesina, Omotola Ade-Onojobi, and Hajara Omoniyi; and Marketing Manager, Three Crowns, Chioma Igwe, at the Three Crowns 2026 Mum of the Year Grand Finale held in Lagos over the weekend.

Three Crowns Milk, one of Nigeria’s most trusted dairy brands from FrieslandCampina WAMCO Nigeria PLC has announced Olaide Adesina as winner of the Three Crowns Mum of the Year 2026 at the grand finale of its flagship mum wellness initiative, held on Sunday, 19 July 2026, at Classique Event Centre, Oregun, Lagos.

Now in its 8th edition, Three Crowns Mum of the Year competition has become one of Nigeria’s leading initiatives dedicated to celebrating and recognising mothers. This year’s winner, Olaide Adesina, joins an esteemed list of women who have been honoured over the past decade for their inspiring stories and unwavering commitment to their families.

Omotola Ade-Onojobi and Hajara Omoniyi emerged as the First and Second Runners-Up, respectively. The three winning mums and two family members each received an all-expense-paid trip to Zanzibar, Tanzania, alongside a one-year supply of Three Crowns Milk products and shopping vouchers. The remaining finalists — Akpan Chika Cindy, Edna Kangna’an and Rita Robert Joseph each received a double-door refrigerator, supply of Three Crowns Milk products, and a cash prize of ₦500,000.

This year’s grand finale themed “Crowning our Treasures” was designed as an immersive, theatre-style experience, bringing the finalists’ personal journeys to life through captivating drama, live music and stage performances. Hosted by renowned media personality Bukunmi Adeaga-Ilori (Kiekie), the evening built to a suspense-filled climax as the winners were announced in reverse order before an audience of families, consumers, partners, stakeholders and members of the media.

The competition started with over 150,000 valid entries submitted by mothers across Nigeria, all reviewed by an independent panel. The ten most inspiring stories advanced to the semi-final stage, where they canvassed for public votes across the Three Crowns social media platforms. Following the voting process, six finalists progressed to the grand finale, where they were evaluated by an esteemed panel of judges comprising Chizzy Alichi Mbah, Ifedayo Durosinmi-Etti, Jamila Lawal, and Ekerette Ekemini (Kemen Fitness). Contestants were assessed across key areas including physical wellness, mental agility, emotional intelligence and family engagement.

Speaking at the event, Marketing Director, FrieslandCampina WAMCO, Maureen Ifada, said:

“For over a decade, Three Crowns Mum of the Year has been our way of saying thank you to the women who hold our families and our nation together. Tonight’s edition raised the bar, not just in scale, but in heart. Every mum who stood on this stage reminded us why we remain committed to championing the health and wellbeing of Nigerian mothers, because when mums thrive, families flourish.”

Marketing Manager, Three Crowns Milk, Chioma Otisi-Igwe, added:

“Tonight, we celebrated the everyday heroes who quietly give so much of themselves for their families. Every story we heard reminded us that behind every strong family is a mum whose love, sacrifice and resilience often go unseen. At Three Crowns, we are honoured to celebrate these remarkable women and remain committed to supporting their health and wellbeing, because when mums are cared for, families flourish.”

Reacting to her win, Olaide Adesina said:

“I never imagined my story would bring me here. I entered this journey as an ordinary mum doing my best for my family, and tonight I stand crowned before Nigeria. This is for my children and for every mother out there giving her all every single day. Your sacrifice is seen, appreciated and truly matters.”

Three Crowns Mum of the Year initiative underscores the brand’s long-standing commitment to celebrating and supporting Nigerian mothers through nutrition, wellness, and purposeful initiatives that recognise the vital role they play in nurturing healthier families and stronger communities.

Three Crowns Milk reaffirmed that the Three Crowns Mum of the Year initiative reflects the brand’s enduring commitment to supporting mothers through good nutrition, healthy living, and impactful initiatives that recognise the vital role they play in nurturing healthier families and stronger communities.
