Renowned creative director Anthony Eigbe has been appointed Vice President of Creative and Communications at UAC of Nigeria PLC, one of the country’s most esteemed conglomerates.

Eigbe, also known by his moniker Jesu Oyingbo, will spearhead creative strategies from UAC’s newly established 1879 Tech Hub.

In his new role, he will oversee and drive creative excellence for UAC’s extensive brand portfolio, which includes prominent names such as Dulux, Sandtex, and Hempel; QSR giants Debonairs Pizza and Mr. Biggs; food brands like Gala, FunTime, and Supreme Ice Cream; as well as Grand Cereal’s Grand Oil and UAC HoldCo.

In a LinkedIn announcement, Eigbe expressed his excitement about this new chapter in his career. “This new role marks a deliberate continuation of my creative evolution. It’s been a dream of mine to experience firsthand a large-scale manufacturing business value chain and see in real-time the direct impact marketing plays. I want to use this opportunity to thank the entire board and management of UAC for their unwavering faith throughout this process.”

Eigbe’s appointment comes on the heels of his departure from X3M Ideas, a leading creative and advertising firm in Nigeria.

His tenure at X3M Ideas was marked by a series of remarkable achievements, including securing the first Cannes Lion for West Africa and Nigeria after a 70-year wait.

During his time, the agency won Nigerian Agency of the Year three times in five years, was named Pitchers African Agency of the Year, and earned accolades such as Creative Director of the Year twice and LUHM Independent Agency of the Year.
