The centerpiece of the XD motion booth will be the worldwide debut of the ARCAM 15. This new robotic arm is engineered for high-speed, precise performance, making it ideal for the dynamic environment of live broadcasting. The demo will feature the ARCAM 15 mounted on an X dolly, creating a 7th axis of motion that allows the arm to travel smoothly on straight or curved tracks. This powerful combination unlocks sweeping, cinematic shots and gives producers unparalleled creative freedom within the studio set.
All robotic systems will be orchestrated by the updated version of the IO.BOT software, demonstrating its capacity as the central hub for total production control. Live demonstrations will highlight key updates, including:
Unified Fleet Management: A single operator will control the entire robotic fleet—including the new ARCAM 15, PTZs on the X track mini and X tower—from one intuitive interface, saving valuable time and space.
Seamless AR Integration: In partnership with Pixotope, the demo will showcase perfectly tracked augmented reality graphics, ensuring virtual elements remain flawless even during complex, high-speed camera movements.
AI-Powered Beaconless Tracking: The integration of IO.BOT with K SYSTEM will allow tracking performers in real-time without the need for tags or beacons, streamlining operations and enhancing accuracy.
“This year at IBC is about demonstrating true workflow integration,” said Benoit DENTAN, Founder and CEO of XD motion. “We want to show how a cohesive ecosystem can simplify complexity for broadcasters and content creators. Our goal is to empower creative teams by making sophisticated technology like high-speed robotics, multi-axis motion, and augmented reality intuitive and reliable.”
XD motion will also introduce the Microlight Live, a revolutionary ULM (ultra-light motorized) aerial platform offering a more silent, affordable, and greener alternative to helicopters. In partnership with co-exhibitor GSS, XD motion will showcase two key gimbals from their lineup: the GSS B512, a worldwide reference for broadcast quality, and the compact GSS C510. The lightweight C510 is critical for solutions like the new Microlight Live, where minimizing weight is paramount without sacrificing the robust performance GSS is known for.
In a separate showcase, XD motion is partnering with Brainstorm at Booth 7.C39 to power an exceptionally realistic virtual production demo. Two XD motion ARCAM robotics arms (10 and 20 models) will provide precise, repeatable camera movements for a presentation featuring talent “teleportation” and hyper-realistic AR graphics, all driven by Brainstorm’s InfinitySet software and Unreal Engine 5. This collaboration also highlights the integration of Canon’s new EOS C500 Mark II cameras and CN-E Cinema Prime lenses, which feature new metadata transmission technology for virtual production.
Attendees are invited to experience these innovations and meet with the XD motion team at Booth 12.B41. To ensure dedicated time, booking a meeting in advance is highly recommended via the XD motion website.
