“Nwa Aba”: MTN Nigeria Recognises the Movers, Makers, and Dreamers of Aba

MTN Nigeria brought its Go Make A Difference (Go M.A.D) campaign to the beating heart of Nigeria’s entrepreneurial spirit, Aba, on Sunday, March 23, 2025, at Sugarland, Luxury City Hotel.

Already making impactful stops in cities like Abuja, Enugu, Calabar, Ibadan, and Benin, the campaign continues its mission of celebrating and empowering local changemakers, while encouraging individuals across the country to take bold steps in their fields and communities.

One of the standout voices at the event was fashion designer, model coach, and creative director of Style by Prinna, Prinna Nnanna. Known for mentoring aspiring models in the city, Prinna turned the event into a runway moment, showcasing a full line of athleisure wear.

“I’d been following the MTN Go MAD campaign on social media, especially the Calabar and Enugu editions,” he shared. “When the hotel manager told me MTN was bringing the campaign here, I knew I had to be part of it. At first, he just asked me to make his outfit for the event—but then he invited me to show more of my work. I made all the outfits you saw on the runway just last night.”

Prinna also credited MTN for helping his brand thrive. “I run an online business, and MTN helps me advertise, network, and connect with customers. Just at this event, two people already reached out to say they loved the pieces I showcased.”

Also recognised as a Go MAD icon was cosmetic scientist and entrepreneur, Dr. Precious Uche, CEO of Tonatel Beauty and Spa. Her message centered on redefining beauty standards in Nigeria.

“There are so many damaging ideas about what good skin should look like,” she said. “My business stands against bleaching and promotes the message that black is beautiful. I want people to appreciate their natural skin tone.” Dr. Uche noted that MTN’s data services have helped her grow her customer base across Owerri and Aba and expand her advocacy online.

Another inspiring voice was that of Michael Chinedu Ogbonna, founder of Mua Couture, who also shared how technology has transformed his fashion business.

“Data has been helpful,” he said. “The internet has made the world a global village. What used to take days now takes minutes. I now design clothes for people not just in Nigeria, but in Malaysia, the US, and Canada.”

With every city it visits, the Go M.A.D campaign amplifies real stories of transformation, proving that even small steps can spark powerful change. MTN remains committed to celebrating the resilience, creativity, and determination of Nigerians. The campaign is set to hit more cities in the coming weeks.
