Livespot360’s Zion Rufus has been announced as one of Nigeria’s 35 Under 35 Marketing Communications Professionals, a recognition that celebrates emerging leaders who are redefining the future of storytelling, brand building, and strategic communication across the country.

Zion’s journey into the industry began long before her first job title. As a young girl, she found her voice through writing, filling “dear diary” pages with reflections that would eventually evolve into her signature storytelling style. In 2018, while still an undergraduate, she published her first ebook Diary of a Lagos Girl, marking her entry into purposeful public storytelling and establishing the foundation of her creative path.

Her career formally took shape in 2020 when she joined Marketing Edge Publications as a Brand Content Writer. There, her sharp eye for narrative clarity and industry insight quickly distinguished her. By 2023, she rose to become Associate Editor, a role that positioned her at the intersection of public relations, journalism, advertising, and marketing communication. During this period, she became a member of the Association of Digital Marketing Professionals of Nigeria (ADMARP), deepening her expertise in digital strategy and emerging media trends.

In 2024, Zion transitioned fully into brand strategy when she joined Livespot360 as PR Brand and Content Strategist. Her impact was immediate. Through a distinct blend of emotional storytelling, strategic communication, and brand clarity, she rapidly advanced to Senior Brand and Content Strategist. Today, she is recognized as a rising force in narrative strategy, personality branding, and integrated communications, consistently leaving a remarkable footprint across the marketing communications landscape.

When asked to comment on this recognition, she said:
“I am deeply grateful for this recognition, and I thank God for every step of this journey. I am standing here today because of mentors who believed in me, even in moments when I struggled to believe in myself. They taught me to try, even when I was scared. To grow, even when I felt uncertain. To show up, regardless of what I thought I lacked. And to never shrink myself to make others comfortable.

This award is a reminder that courage compounds. That every small act of trying eventually becomes a story worth telling. And that there is always room for those who choose to do the work. I am truly honored.”

Her trajectory continues to reflect a rare balance of creative intuition and strategic rigor. As an award-winning content strategist, her work has strengthened brand affinity, shaped public narratives, and inspired a new generation of brand communicators. Zion’s portfolio spans collaborations with over 500 brands and organizations, alongside her authorship of Diary of a Lagos Girl and Diary of a Career Gold-Digger.
